Tancuj Matyldo

The film narrates the story of a debt collector, Karel Jaros (48), his mother, the former choir singer Matilda (80), and Karel's teenage son, Pavel (18). Karel, emotionally withdrawn and conflicted, struggles to connect with his extroverted and bohemian mother, visiting her out of a strong sense of duty. Pavel, perceived as an irresponsible slacker, resents his father's profession and cannot forgive him for abandoning the family during his childhood. Their relationships are strained until an unexpected life event forces them together. Matilda develops Alzheimer's disease, loses her apartment, and Karel must take her in. However, he finds himself unable to care for her, leading to a situation where Pavel must step in to look after his ailing grandmother. As the illness progresses rapidly, doubts, crises, and conflicts arise, culminating in a tragicomic exploration of how the characters confront this life challenge.
