Tango dance classes with Felipe and Ayano at La Bruja, August

Join us for tango classes with Felipe Martinez and Ayano Yoneda in Berkeley! 💃🕺 These fun and challenging classes emphasize the underlying structure of tango. No experience is necessary for the beginner class!

Classes are inclusive, welcoming queer, trans, and non-binary folks, and everyone is encouraged to lead and follow.

Class Schedule:

• Wednesdays: August 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th
  • 6:45 pm: Check-in
  • 7:00-8:00 pm: Beginning Tango
  • 8:00-8:30 pm: Practica
  • 8:30-9:30 pm: Intermediate Tango
  • 9:30-10:30 pm: Practica

The practicas are included with the classes, so stay, dance, and ask questions! Beginners and intermediates will practice together from 8:00-8:30 pm.

📚 Class Levels:

• The intermediate class is suited for dancers with at least three months of experience (12 tango classes). Beginners are welcome to watch!
• As of now, August 5th is scheduled for the drawing room, while other dates are set for the ballroom (room reservations may change).

Admission Prices:

• $80: General admission for all four classes (beginner or intermediate)
• $25: General admission for a single class (beginner or intermediate)
• $15: Student with ID for a single class (beginner or intermediate)
• $40: Both classes in one evening for one person

🚶‍♂️ We are a 10-minute walk from Downtown Berkeley BART. For bike parking, use the bell to enter through the service entrance, and head straight to the back courtyard. No parking in the Berkeley City Club lot; street parking is free after 6:00 pm.
