Trip: Porirua Park Bush (Gillies Place), Rānui, Porirua

Join us for a delightful botanical exploration of this Significant Natural Area located off Gillies Place! 🌳 We'll take a circular route through the reserve, which showcases a rich diversity of flora including kohekohe, tawa, hīnau, and māpou, along with remnants of matai, rimu, kahikatea, and a large population of Streblus banksii. 🌱

Afterward, we’ll detour to visit a stand of impressive Syzygium maire, just a short walk from Mungavin Ave.

📍 Location: Porirua Railway Station carpark at 9:00 am to share transport.

• 🚆 From Waikanae: Board the 8:30 am train and reach Porirua Station by 9:09 am.
