Tuesday Street Skate

Join us for a fun-filled weekly street skate starting from the Blavatnik School of Government! 🛼

We'll gather at 18:50 and roll out by around 19:05. The route will be decided by the group, and speeds will vary based on everyone's ability and mood. Expect to skate around 8-10 miles in total!

Skating Level: This event is geared towards intermediate skaters. You should be comfortable stopping, turning, slowing down, and navigating curbs and slopes. The minimum speed is 11 km/h (7.5 mph). Typically, we skate for 1 to 1.5 hours based on the group dynamics.

Important Notes:

• Skate at your own risk; this is not a marshalled event.
• Wear high visibility clothing and protective gear (helmet, wrist guards, knee pads, elbow pads) to stay safe. Lights are essential for when it gets dark! 🔦
• Please respect pedestrians, do not block traffic, and follow the highway code while skating. We’ll use cycle paths as much as possible.
• Newcomers, comment “first time” and someone may buddy up with you.
