Join us for the Urban Book Club as we delve into the essence of Singapore through a more-than-human perspective! 📚✨

This session will feature urban environmental humanities researcher, writer, and poet Jamie Wang, who examines how our cities influence and are influenced by all living beings, including people, animals, plants, and even water.

Drawing from field research, this book reflects on unique urban imaginaries across diverse locations—from the futuristic and authoritarian Supertree Grove, seen as a technologically sustainable marvel, to highly protected nature reserves and cemeteries where memories are unearthed and often erased for urban development.

We'll focus on Chapter 3, but feel free to read the entire book for a richer conversation!
