Attic
Barbora Sváčková
The production Nadkroví by choreographer Barbora Sváčková explores the theme of the individual in the grip of life – in the embrace of family, which is both warm and restrictive. It examines the roles we accept, the paths we take, and how they change over the course of our lives. The desire for security that we find in a crowded nest. And also the force that prevents us from spreading our wings. Five performers on stage transform their roles – just as we ourselves transform. Through metaphors, images, and physical closeness, they reveal the subtle layers of relationships: fragility and tension, closeness and distance. They seek a balance between the need to stay and the desire to fly away.
I Can't See Through My Eyes
Simona Dejmková
Simona Dejmková's original choreography explores the themes of surveillance, control, and voluntary blindness in contemporary society. Four performers take to the stage, using physical composition and limited vision to create an image of a system that both shapes and distorts individuals. In the production, the author addresses the question of personal responsibility: are we merely observers, or are we ourselves part of the mechanism that shapes us? The work depicts the invisible structure of power, but also offers the possibility that a mere shared gaze can once again lead to a meaningful encounter. And an alienated body can once again become a human being.
