Welcome to Medulla

On Thursday, 28 May, we warmly invite you to the soft launch of Medulla: a civic infrastructure in Berlin-Mitte for people working on public resilience, democratic capacity, urban transformation, civic technology, and societal learning.
Medulla is a place to strengthen the deeper civic functions that allow cities and communities to remain capable in concerning times: trust, coordination, attention, learning, repair, and the ability to act together when conditions change.
The name refers to the inner core, the marrow, and to parts of the nervous system that help regulate vital functions. In an urban and planetary context, this image guides our work: What are the hidden capacities that allow public life to breathe, respond, and stay coordinated under pressure?
The launch evening is a chance to enter the space, meet the people and organizations beginning to carry it, and explore what Medulla can become for Berlin and beyond.
We will share a short introduction to the idea but the evening will be more a moment to arrive, connect, and sense what this place might make possible - together.
