Whackathon

Whackathon is a half-day sprint for creatives and curious tinkerers to build their dumbest idea yet.
We won’t bore you with questions like is it scalable? Is it profitable? Isn’t it a bit too niche? Leave the world-changing for another time. Instead, build something chaotic, useless, or unexpectedly clever for the stupid joy of making it exist, surrounded by others doing the same.
If you have an idea you’re pumped to work on, great. If not, come anyway—we’ve got some wonderfully silly prompts you could explore.

The order of things
10:00 AM - Introduction to Brief
10:30 AM - Start Building
12:00 PM - Lunch Break (Lunch is provided for all participants)
1:00 PM - Back to It
3:00 PM - Show + Tell (With feedback from a panel of Creative Technologists and Art X Tech experts)
3:30 PM - Silly Categories Voting and Mingle
Who
This Whackathon is open to all technical levels, no prior coding or design experience is required. An optional vibe-coding crash course for those interested will be arranged a week before the event! We're limiting capacity to 50 pax

A silly serious panel including Anas Al Hakim (Riot Games, APAC Creative Lead), Luke Somasundram (BBH, Creative Director), Joe Chung (Creative Technologist Leader, R/GA Senior Creative Technologist) will be there to provide feedback and review the product demos. Bring your stupidest!
