This day is hosted by Andrea & Makarena. The day before the event you will be invited to a what's app group.
🎟️ Important: you must book your pool ticket directly once you have signed up for this event. If you don't manage to book a pool ticket, please cancel your attendance to give other's a chance. Tickets are €12 per adult and must be purchased online in advance at https://entradas.cercedilla.es, there is no ticket office on weekends. If you haven't booked your ticket by the time we meet, we'll ask you to cancel your spot so someone on the waitlist can join.
Two pools surrounded by pine forest, 30 hectares of nature in the Valle de la Fuenfría, and a proper summer Sunday with the women of Nuvia. Las Berceas is one of the most beautiful spots in the Sierra de Guadarrama and well worth the trip. Pools open 10:00–20:00. 🌲
Getting there: Meet at Recoletos station at 8:45am (please check the screens for the platform) to take the C2 at 9:00am to Cercedilla, arriving at 10:18am. We're leaving early on purpose — if we arrive later, we risk missing the free shuttle and being stuck waiting in the sun.
Once in Cercedilla, the group will walk ~500m to the shuttle stop at Carretera de las Dehesas 30 and aim to catch the 11:00am or 11:40am free shuttle up to the pools. ⚠️ If the shuttle is full when we arrive, we'll take an Uber up rather than wait 40 minutes in the heat. Bring some cash as a backup just in case. 🪙
Food & drinks: You're welcome to bring your own food and eat in the picnic area inside the complex. There is also a bar and food on-site if you'd rather buy something there.
Return: First shuttle back to Cercedilla departs at 17:30. From Cercedilla, we'll take the C8b at 18:32, arriving back at Recoletos at 19:48. What to bring: Swimwear and a towel — non-negotiable! Packed lunch or snacks. At least 1.5L of water. Sunscreen (a lot of it). A dry change of clothes for the journey home. Cash for the Uber if needed. 🧺
Cost: €12 pool entry (booked by you in advance). You also pay your own train fare to Cercedilla. The shuttle to the pools is free.
