WomenVC
Sweden raises €22.7 billion in startup funding over five years. Stockholm is called the Silicon Valley of Europe. And yet, women-only founding teams receive 1.1% of global VC.
Funding for all-female teams dropped 22% year-over-year.
There still some positive in the negative: Sweden actually leads Europe on this metric. Sweden directs 4.6% of VC to female-only teams, the highest rate in Europe, ahead of Spain (4.1%) and France (3.9%).
VC firms with at least one female partner are 2.3x more likely to invest in female founders. Firms with 30%+ female partners invest 4.7x more in women-led companies.
The capital follows whoever is in the room. And women hold just 15.4% of partner or decision-making roles at VC firms.
Byqqa Off Plan is a conversation series hosted in Stockholm for people building at the edge of what the ecosystem usually talks about.

Off Plan #002 is about women in venture capital.
