Bringing Swift to the Apple II
Swift has now been brought to another Apple platform — the Apple II, which was released in the 1970s. In this session, Kheng Meng will share how he created a mini Swift development environment for this historical platform. This environment includes a REPL, compiler, VM, text editor, and file manager, developed with AI assistance, which will also be discussed. This project received a mention in Apple's Swift blog in June 2026.
