About Jan Willis:
Jan grew up in the Jim Crow South and marched with Martin Luther King, Jr. during the Birmingham Civil Rights Campaign, facing numerous challenges including escaping the Ku Klux Klan in Alabama. With fifty years of experience in studying and teaching Buddhism, she's authored several influential works such as The Diamond Light: An Introduction to Tibetan Buddhist Meditation and Dreaming Me: Black, Baptist and Buddhist.

Event Schedule:
⏰ 9:30 AM - 11:40 AM: Enjoy meditation, a Dharma talk with Jan Willis, a Q&A session, and informal tea/conversation.
🏖️ 11:40 AM onwards: Community picnic lunch at Muir Beach (10-20 min walk).
⏰ ±1:30 PM: Anticipated departure for carpoolers.
