Kirtan at Lake Harriet Spiritual Community

Join us on the second Sunday of each month for an uplifting Kirtan experience at the Lake Harriet Spiritual Community! 🎶

🕖 When: 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
📍 Where: 4401 S Upton Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55410-1931, United States

Gather in the Sanctuary, a serene space with spacious high ceilings and resonant acoustics, as we chant for about 60 to 90 minutes.
Feel free to bring your own yoga mat, blanket, or bolster if you'd prefer to sit on the open floor, although comfy padded chairs are available for your convenience.

About Kirtan:

Kirtan blends music and mantra as part of Bhakti yoga, the yogic path of divine love and devotion. We'll connect with our hearts through music, poetry, and the sounds of the guitar and violin. Featuring:

• Jordan Lawrence on Guitar and Vocals 🎸
• Peter Clausen on Violin 🎻

All faiths and backgrounds are welcome as we explore Sanskrit mantras intertwined with heartfelt poetry and prayers. A suggested donation of $10-20 is appreciated to support the musicians and the community, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. 🙏

About the Musicians:

Jordan Lawrence is a musician and poet who has been creating spaces for healing through music and meditation since 2020. He has collaborated with artists like Krishna Das and David Newman.

Peter Clausen has shared his unique "Kirtan Violin" style for many years and has collaborated over a hundred times with Jordan in this beautiful journey of sound.
