About Carnegie Hall

Carnegie Hall is a landmark concert venue in Midtown Manhattan, opened in 1891 and funded by industrialist Andrew Carnegie. Designed by architect William Burnet Tuthill and celebrated worldwide for its acoustics, the building houses three performance spaces: the 2,790-seat Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage, the 599-seat Zankel Hall, and the 268-seat Weill Recital Hall. Designated a National Historic Landmark in 1962, it remains one of the most prestigious stages in the world for orchestral, chamber, jazz and popular performances.
