Since the 1950s, this 17-piece ensemble has been delivering the best of Big Band Era Jazz throughout southwest Michigan. Originally formed in 1957 with the legendary Fred Bentz as their leader, the band has evolved while maintaining its commitment to quality music. Known initially as “The Ambassadors Of Good Will,” they performed regularly at local V.A. hospitals, and over the years, have become a staple in the local jazz scene.

With the incorporation of exceptional vocalists and innovative arrangements from past leaders like Al Townsend, the band's unique sound has stood the test of time. Mike Letovsky joined as a tenor sax player in 1986, became the lead alto sax player, and has led the band since 1993, ensuring the legacy of spectacular Big Band Jazz continues!
