Opavské hradby

Opava’s city walls disappeared in the first half of the 19th century; their demolition began at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries because they were no longer needed. The tour will trace their architectural development, their origins and demise, and highlight the fragments that still stand today as reminders of their former existence. Opava is one of the oldest cities in the present-day Czech Republic and, as such, is also among the earliest fortified cities.

Tickets can be purchased on GoOut, at the Municipal House reception desk, and any remaining tickets will be sold on-site.

In the event of extremely bad weather, the tour will be canceled and admission fees will be refunded.
