56th Annual Saint Herman Pilgrimage-Spruce Island

Join the Diocese of Sitka and Alaska for the 56th Annual Saint Herman Pilgrimage! 🙏✨ From August 7–9, 2026, faithful participants from Alaska and beyond will gather in Kodiak for a time of prayer and fellowship as we celebrate the legacy of Saint Herman, the cherished wonderworker of Alaska and Apa to the Sugpiaq people.

Schedule of Events:
Friday, August 7
🕕 6pm - Akathist to St. Herman & Soup meal

Saturday, August 8
🚤 Morning departure for Spruce Island (weather dependent):

• Hierarchical Divine Liturgy on Spruce Island
• Beach Picnic & Return to Kodiak
  🕔 5pm - Altar Vigil

Sunday, August 9
🕘 9am - Hierarchical Divine Liturgy
🍽️ Banquet at Afognak Center following Liturgy
