African Arts Festival

Join us for the 6th Annual African Arts Festival, a vibrant celebration of Africa's rich cultures and extraordinary creativity! Co-presented by Duniya Dance and Drum Company and the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival, this family-friendly event is filled with live music and dance performances featuring Bay Area ensembles that represent diverse regions of Africa and its diaspora.

✨ Experience the vibrant energy of Duniya Dance and Drum Company, known for their beautiful fusions of Punjabi, West African, and other styles since April 2007.

Activities for all ages await you, including:

• Interactive dance and drum lessons 🥁
• Face-painting for children 🎨
• Vendors offering a variety of traditional African foods, clothing, jewelry, and care products 🛍️

Artistic Director Bongo Sidibe describes the festival's essence: "The idea was to unite Africans and the diaspora in the Bay Area, inspiring each other and sharing our cultures. We highlight joy and celebrate our identity as Black people."
