Join us for an exciting day at the AGM and Members' Day hosted at the iconic Natural History Museum in London! We would love to see you there. 🌍✨

Itinerary Highlights:

  • 12:30 PM – Lunch (feel free to bring your own food, or visit the museum cafes) 🥗
  • 1:15 PM – Announcement of the Brian Gardiner Award and Cribb-Lonsdale Awards 🏆
  • 1:20 PMNick Cooke discussing Pearl-bordered Fritillary in the Trossachs – rediscovery and conservation
  • 1:40 PMCharles Barker (Hammond Award winner): Ground Beetle sampling for Red-backed Shrike reintroduction sites in Sussex
  • 1:55 PMInez Januszczak (Natural History Museum, London): Insects and genomics; the Darwin Tree of Life project
  • 2:15 PM – Tea break with a chance to view synoptic collections 🍵🦋
  • 3:00 PMJoss Carr (Biological Recording Company): The entoLive Project
  • 3:15 PMJacqui James (University of Cambridge): Conserving the Shrill Carder Bee: Investigating the Effects of Habitat Restoration in South Somerset
  • 3:45 PM – Leonard Tesch lecture by Dr. Tim King (University of Oxford): The Underground Influence of Yellow Meadow Ants on All The Other Animals in Old Grasslands
  • 5:00 PM – Meeting concludes
  • 5:50 PM – Museum closes

Joining Info:

Reserve your FREE entry ticket to the museum in advance through their website! 🌐 The closest entrance is the West Gate on Queens Gate, with Gloucester Road and South Kensington as nearby Underground stations.
Lectures will take place in the Neil Chalmers Seminar Room, located on the ground floor of the Darwin Centre in the West Wing. Look for the entrance under the steps leading to the Attenborough Studio (marked with a red star on the map).
