America, UNFINISHED?!

The WaterFire Arts Center presents America, Unfinished?!, a large-scale contemporary art exhibition on view July 2 through August 30, 2026 in the Main Hall.Bringing together artists from across the country, the exhibition examines the complexities, contradictions, and possibilities of the American experience. Through immersive installations, large-scale artworks, and thought-provoking interventions, America, Unfinished?! explores themes of identity, democracy, belonging, memory, justice, and civic life — asking not what America is, but what it could still become.Presented in the 15,000-square-foot Main Hall of the WaterFire Arts Center, the exhibition transforms the space into a dynamic environment for dialogue, reflection, and discovery.
