Anton Alvarez: The Colour of Gravity

Join us on Thursday, August 6, from 5 to 7 PM at Helsinki Contemporary for the unveiling of The Colour of Gravity, the first solo exhibition in Finland by Swedish-Chilean artist Anton Alvarez.

This exhibition showcases striking ceramic sculptures that explore human scale and challenge our perceptions of craftsmanship and technology in art. Alvarez combines the roles of engineer and sculptor, designing machines to create his works.

About the Artist:
Anton Alvarez (b. 1980, Uppsala, Sweden) is a graduate of the Royal College of Art in London and Konstfack in Stockholm. His works are included in notable collections such as the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm and the Denver Art Museum. Alvarez has collaborated with brands like Gucci and Issey Miyake and has created public sculptures in Sweden.
