Opening: Monday, 25th of May, 18:00Faculty of Humanities (Pátkova 2137/5)26. 5. – 21. 6. 2026We kindly invite you to the exhibition As a Wall of Loose Stones, by the Studio of New Aesthetics (FAMU) and students of the Faculty of Humanities, The Department of Art Theory and Practice. This exhibition brings together the final works of students from the New Aesthetics Studio at the Department of Photography of FAMU. These works and their presentation were developed in collaboration with the students of the Department of Art Theory and Practice at FHS, whose textual contributions extend and reframe the exhibited works with conceptual, critical, and poetic contributions, culminating in an accompanying zine crafted to document these efforts and stand as an art object in itself. Conceived as a provisional “archipelago” of distinct yet interacting projects, the exhibition explores collective forms of organization shaped by fragility, plurality, and tension. Across diverse materials, media, and themes, infrastructure emerges not as a rigid system of control, but as a porous and temporary arrangement: what Jacques Rancière and Gilles Deleuze described as a “wall of loose, uncemented stones,” holding together multiplicity without suppressing its contradictions.
