Back to School Silent Disco: A Community Celebration of Belonging

🎉 Together, We Can Start the School Year with Joy!
As the school year approaches, many young people, especially LGBTQIA+ youth, feel rising anxiety. Returning to school can mean navigating isolation, pressure, or uncertainty. But here in Erie, we believe our young people deserve to start the year knowing they are surrounded by a community that sees them, celebrates them, and stands with them.

The Back‑to‑School Silent Disco is our way of saying:

🤝 You are supported.
💖 You are not alone.

This event creates a joyful, sensory-friendly, affirming space where LGBTQIA+ youth, families, and allies can show up exactly as they are, supported by neighbors, nonprofits, and local businesses committed to showing up all year, not just during Pride Month. It also uplifts another local nonprofit, demonstrating how collaboration strengthens community care, visibility, and belonging across Erie and the surrounding region.
