Breathe New Life into Your Old Laptop

Location: YDL-Michigan (Program Room)Do you have an old laptop gathering dust because it’s too slow to use? Don't throw it away! The library is hosting a free laptop refresh event to help bridge the digital divide and keep usable tech out of landfills.Local tech volunteers will help install a lightweight, user-friendly, and highly secure alternative operating system (GNU / Linux) that runs beautifully on older hardware. You will leave with a computer that is safe, fast, and ready to browse the web, write documents, and watch videos.Interested in volunteering as an installer?
