Brooklyn Bridge Sunset Walk & Sorrel Tasting
This is a 2.5-mile group walk starting in Brooklyn Heights and ending at Fabrik Tribeca for a sorrel tasting and light bites.
We'll meet on the South side of Cadman Plaza and roll out at 7pm, walking straight into the sunset over the Brooklyn Bridge.
Sorrel (caffeine and alcohol free) is made of Hibiscus and spices--also known as Bissap in West Africa, Agua de Jamaica in Mexico, and Karkadé in parts of Asia and the Middle East. It's the perfect post-summer-walk refresher. Also Island Ember's founder is friends with Apex Pedestrian's founder but we're not biased in saying that.
Come alone or with a friend, ready to walk, chat, and take in the beauty of an August evening stroll with good food & drinks waiting for you at the end. Doesn't get any more perfect than that.

If we haven't met yet, hello!
Sofia @ Apex Pedestrian: I'm a fast walker who hosts bi-weekly(ish) guided walks. I spend my weekends exploring neighborhoods + their top bakeries on foot and like to describe my scenic walks as “being a tourist in your own city." I share my adventures on Instagram to encourage walking as a hobby, sport, and way to explore your city.
Moses @ Island Ember: I grew up in Arima, Trinidad & Tobago, which meant Christmas visits with family, food filling the house, and parang drifting through the yard. Those moments inspired the drinks I make and the gatherings I host today.
