Community Acupuncture at The Aligned Collective
What is Community Acupuncture?
Community Acupuncture is a unique care model designed to make acupuncture both accessible and affordable, emphasizing collective healing. Unlike private sessions, treatments take place in a calming shared environment where participants can repose comfortably on yoga mats with bolsters and blankets, or in chairs, fostering a profound sense of community and shared intent. This approach eliminates financial and clinical obstacles, allowing healing to flourish both individually and collectively.
About This Offering
This gentle session utilizes the NADA protocol—a simple yet powerful ear acupuncture (or acupressure) system developed to address community trauma, stress, and addiction recovery. For those who prefer not to use needles, ear seeds are also available. Occasionally, additional foot points may be included to help ground and support the nervous system.
Who It’s For:
Everyone is welcome—especially those seeking resilience, emotional equilibrium, stress reduction, or a supportive space to process life’s transitions. The setting is perfect for individuals who find comfort in shared tranquility, newcomers to acupuncture, or anyone in need of regular, affordable support. Trauma-informed principles ensure a safe, consensual, and respectful experience.
Setting & Flow
Only one cohort is available at 1PM, with all participants receiving and removing their needles simultaneously for a seamless experience. You may select:
- A cozy nest on the floor with yoga mats, bolsters, and blankets
- A chair for sitting or reclined seating
After a brief check-in, you’ll receive your chosen protocol (NADA needles or ear seeds) and settle into a restorative meditation for 30 minutes. Music and a supportive atmosphere enhance the collective calm.
Exchange
$22 to maintain accessibility for our community. (Tips are appreciated via the booking site if you feel inclined to support the sustainability of this offering.)
