About CRYPTA

Founded in 2019 by the dynamic duo Fernanda Lira (bass and vocals) and Luana Dametto (drums), CRYPTA has made waves in the global metal scene. Currently, the band continues as a trio with guest guitarists (on second guitar) for tours. Guitarist Tainá Bergamaschi was invited to join in 2020 and consolidated the line-up.

Their acclaimed debut album, Echoes of the Soul, released in 2021 by Austrian label Napalm Records, achieved impressive chart positions in countries such as Germany and Switzerland, with production by Arthur Rizk and Jens Bogren, and cover art by Wes Benscoter.

Their second album, Shades of Sorrow, launched in 2023, solidified their reputation and even broke into the US Billboard—a feat rarely accomplished by Brazilian metal bands! The album was among the 50 best albums of 2023 according to the São Paulo Association of Art Critics (APCA), and charted on 7 US charts, 6 in Canada, 2 in England, and also in Switzerland, Germany and Austria.

CRYPTA has lit up stages at iconic festivals like Wacken Open Air, Rock in Rio, Bloodstock, and Primavera Sound, and shared the spotlight with legends such as Morbid Angel, Carcass, Behemoth, Ghost, Arch Enemy, and Hatebreed. In 2025, they continue touring across Latin America, Europe, the United States, Canada and Brazil as they prepare their third album in 2026!
