🔊 Some bands play loud. DEAFKIDS create a state of propulsion where rhythm, distortion, and repetition lock together and refuse to let go.

For the past fifteen years, this Brazilian duo has developed a singular language built from punk energy, experimental electronics, noise, dub production techniques, and the deep rhythmic traditions of Brazil and Latin America. Emerging from the industrial city of Volta Redonda in Rio de Janeiro, DEAFKIDS have become one of the most vital forces in contemporary underground music, taking their sound from DIY spaces and warehouses to major festivals across Europe, North and South America.

Their performances unfold as dense rhythmic ecosystems. Layers of percussion, feedback, electronics, and voice accumulate into hypnotic cycles that feel simultaneously physical and immersive. Rather than treating genres as boundaries, DEAFKIDS approach them as raw material, drawing from noise, psychedelia, industrial music, and experimental composition in service of a sound that is constantly in motion.

Over the years, the duo has built an extensive body of work spanning albums, live recordings, and collaborative projects. Their collaborators include Rakta, Duma, Petbrick, and Simon Grab, while a recording produced by Killing Joke's Jaz Coleman further expanded the group's orbit. They have shared stages with artists such as Neurosis, Bell Witch, Oranssi Pazuzu, and Big Brave, earning a reputation as one of the most compelling live acts operating at the intersection of heavy and experimental music.

🌟 Opening the evening is Malmö-based PALATS. A familiar presence in the city's experimental music scene, PALATS is known from what feels like a hundred different constellations, collaborations, and temporary formations.
