On Monday, August 17, the Asylum will be closed to the general public for an exclusive, in-depth guided experience led by our most experienced tour guides.

Tour Details:

• Schedule:
  • 8:30 AM: Check-in
  • 9:00 AM: Tour begins
  • 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Lunch break 🍽️
  • 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Tour continues

This comprehensive tour spans all four floors of the Main Building, the Medical Center, the Criminally Insane Unit, and the Women’s Auxiliary Building. You will even travel through a former lobotomy and recovery area and the oldest section of the hospital, which dates back to the Civil War.

Get ready to learn the complete history of the Asylum, hear firsthand paranormal experiences, and discover the medical treatment methods used all along. No shortcuts or highlights-only versions here—this is the full story!

⚠️ Note: This tour is physically demanding. Guests should be prepared to walk long distances and climb multiple flights of stairs. Wear comfortable shoes, dress appropriately for the season, and don’t forget to bring a water bottle!
