Do We Choose Our Partners Rationally or Emotionally?

Route
Über die Veranstaltung

When we fall in love, we often believe we've made a conscious choice. But how much of that choice is actually under our control? Are we guided by logic and shared values, or by attraction, chemistry, childhood experiences, and unconscious preferences?
Many relationships begin with emotion but succeed—or fail—for rational reasons. Others seem perfect on paper but never spark genuine attraction.

Join us for a thoughtful discussion about how we choose romantic partners and what really matters in long-term relationships.

Example of questions to discuss:

What attracts us first: appearance, personality, values, or something else? Can we consciously choose who we fall in love with?
Is chemistry more important than compatibility? Do people become more rational in choosing partners as they get older?
How much do childhood experiences shape who we are attracted to? Have dating apps made partner selection more rational or more superficial?
*Can love grow over time without strong initial attraction?

Everyone is very welcome to join this event to explore this topic and to exchange perspectives with other people in a casual and relaxed setting. Please note that in order to support the room provider we will ask for some voluntary donations.
