
Down Syndrome Festival & 5K
Join us for the Down Syndrome Festival & 5K at the beautiful Myriad Botanical Gardens! This wonderful event is dedicated to celebrating the extra 21st chromosome and fostering a community of acceptance, inclusion, and opportunity for individuals with Down syndrome. Whether you prefer to run, walk, fundraise, or just enjoy the festival, there’s a place for you!
🏃 Event Highlights:
- 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run kicks off at 8:00 AM on Sheridan Avenue.
- Awareness Walk begins lining up at 9:45 AM.
- Festival fun starts at 10:00 AM on the Great Lawn with inflatables, face painting, carnival games, music, talent shows, raffles, cotton candy, and delicious food from local trucks.
- Don’t miss the Raffle Drawings at 11:30 AM at the Band Shell!
🅿️ Free Admission & Parking:
This event is free and open to everyone! Complimentary parking is available just south of the gardens (accessible via Reno Avenue). Arrive early to secure a spot!
🤝 Get Involved:
Gather your family, friends, or coworkers to form a team for the walk, run, or fundraising efforts! Many teams showcase their spirit with matching shirts and posters. Once registered, you can start collecting donations through various methods.

This is the DSACO's largest fundraising event of the year! Every dollar raised stays in central Oklahoma, supporting vital programs for individuals with Down syndrome, including:

- Cooking classes for teens and adults
