Dungeons & Dragons: Learn to Play

Have you ever dreamt of stepping into another world? This summer, the stage is yours! Join us at the theatre for an adventure where the realms of acting and tabletop roleplaying intertwine. In collaboration with Blank Conversations Theatre Company, we proudly present the D&D Summer Experience, tailored for adventurers aged 8 and up (yes, teens and adults are welcome too!)—no previous experience necessary!

Dungeons & Dragons is more than just a game; it's a journey of collaborative storytelling. It combines improv, character development, and world-building all in one. Whether you’re an aspiring actor eager to refine your character-building techniques or a curious newbie ready to conquer your first goblin, this immersive workshop is perfect for you.

Quest Details:

• Who: Open to anyone ages 8 and up (Beginners are highly encouraged!)
• What to Bring: Your imagination and a readiness for adventure! Dice are welcome if you have your own.
• What We Provide: Blank character sheets, pencils, and communal dice will be available. Want your own? Dice sets will be up for sale from vendors in the lobby and at the concessions stand!

Your Daily Itinerary:

• 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM: The Forge (Character Creation)
  Learn the mechanics of building a D&D character from scratch! We’ll guide you step-by-step through the rules, stats, and magic.
• 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: The Actor’s Studio (Character Development)
  This is where the magic happens! Dive into the theatrical side of D&D. Craft compelling backstories, find your character’s unique voice (voice acting 101), and explore how roleplaying translates to stage acting.
• 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM: The Adventure Begins (Playable Games)
  Put your newly minted characters to the test! Jump into a live, playable game run by our experienced Dungeon Masters and start your epic journey.
