Über die Veranstaltung

Join us for a poignant exhibition of war photography by Olga Ignatovich, showcasing a selection from the recently discovered archive of Arthur Bondar. This exhibition, inspired by the book published last year, explores the legacy of Ignatovich's impactful work during a tumultuous time in history.

About the Photographs

The exhibition offers a rare glimpse into the life and work of Olga Ignatovich, a dedicated photojournalist who contributed to the visual narrative of World War II. As a veteran of the ‘Ignatovich Brigade’, established by her brother Boris Ignatovich, her work captures raw and powerful moments from the war. Highlights include her documentation of the liberation of Auschwitz and other significant events that shaped the era.

Discover Olga's Story

Olga's journey began in 1905, and she documented the frontline experiences through various esteemed publications. Serving with the Red Army, her courageous efforts won her the Order of the Red Star, and her photographs have been integral to historical documentation, including the Nuremberg Trials.

About Arthur Bondar

The exhibition is brought to life by Arthur Bondar, a prominent photographer and collector who recently recovered Olga’s lost photographic archive. From his extensive collection of WWII visuals, Bondar aims to shed light on lesser-known narratives and historical truths.
