The Vivat Vila! festival, whose primary goal is to save the important functionalist Kral Villa, returns to Prachatice in South Bohemia for the sixth time after a year's hiatus.

Organized by the Živá vila association together with Světadíl in České Budějovice and Jednota in Tábor, the event has established itself on the Czech music scene as one of the most interesting medium-sized festival projects. It combines a socially engaged and community-based subtext (the preservation of a valuable monument) with carefully curated and innovative programming that follows the latest developments on the Czech alternative and independent music and art scene.
