Field Trip to Lake Michigan

Ahoy, adventurers! 🌟 EAT invites you to embark on our inaugural Field Trip to the stunning Lake Michigan!

🛳️ Get ready for a unique journey as we set sail aboard one of GVSU's research vessels, engaging in insightful discussions about the ecosystems of the lower Grand River, Spring Lake, and Lake Michigan alongside watershed experts, including our very own Dr. Mark Gleason.

🔍 What to Expect:

• Learn from Dr. Gleason's underwater ROV demo (pending conditions) 🤿
• 2-hour presentation on the water provided by the GVSU team

💰 Cost: $10 per person (limited to 25 attendees)
Payment Arrangements:
Secure your spot by making payment directly to Dr. Gleason during our monthly EAT meeting turned happy hour at Brewery Vivant on July 7th at 6:30 PM. Be ready with cash or check!

📍 Departure Details:

• Carpool Meet-Up: 11 AM at Kent County Democratic Party, 301 Fuller Avenue NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503
• Check-In: 12:30 PM at the dock in Grand Haven
• Departure: 1 PM - Don't be late!
• Return: 3:30 PM

Note: Food and drink will not be provided aboard the vessel. Please bring sunscreen, insect repellent, hydration, and snacks. 🧴🧢
