About Raiany:
Raiany is the CEO and founder of the Florens Institute, a pioneering 501(c)(3) committed to advancing frontier science. She has played a key role in designing and launching the $101M Healthspan XPRIZE and is set to publish a book titled Redesigning Aging: The Ethics and Economics of Human Longevity with Harvard University Press. Her research has been featured in notable outlets like The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, Quillette, Forbes, ABC, and Bloomberg.
Raiany holds the world's first-ever PhD in the Ethics and Economics of Human Longevity, a program she designed under the guidance of luminaries such as George Church, Oded Galor, and Steven Pinker. Previously, she was associated with the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University.
Raiany’s work focuses on how converging technologies will redefine governance and human nature in the decades ahead. She critically examines why secular societies often portray aging as a net-positive, teleological phenomenon, and the negative repercussions this narrative can have on economies and individuals.
