Nazli Azimi, PhD, Co-Founder and CEO
Nazli leads as the CEO of Therna Biosciences, pioneering the development of transformative RNA medicines. With a history at the helm of Bioniz Therapeutics and Dermaheal, she brings a wealth of experience to the field, having contributed significantly to immunological discoveries during her tenure at the NIH. With a PharmD and Ph.D. from the University of Tehran, she’s dedicated to advancing impactful therapeutics across life sciences.

Hani Goodarzi, PhD, Scientific Co-Founder
A trailblazer at the intersection of machine learning and RNA biology, Hani heads the Virtual Cell initiative at the Arc Institute. As a professor at UCSF, he has revolutionized the understanding of RNA with foundational computational models. His accolades include the Vilcek Prize and Transformative Cancer Research Award, further highlighting his commitment to enhancing human health through scientific innovation.

Kevin R. Kipp, PhD, Senior Director of Preclinical Development
With over 25 years of expertise, Kevin is steering the translational strategy for AI-optimized mRNA therapeutics at Therna Biosciences. His extensive experience spans molecular biology research to crafting preclinical pharmacology pathways, ensuring informed decision-making in various therapeutic areas. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
