Gallery Hours: Indulgence

Indulgence is often framed as excess, manifesting in various forms such as decadence, addiction, luxury, intimacy, guilt, celebration, or defiance. It can also represent a well-earned reward, an enjoyable escape, or a form of self-care.

What does indulgence mean to you? Is it an escape, a reward, a ritual, or perhaps quiet self-destruction? Where does nourishment end and excess begin? Does indulgence liberate the body or entrap it?

The artists featured in this exhibition have created works that explore the many dimensions of indulgence through their respective mediums. From moments of excess and pleasure to acts of nurturing, desire, comfort, and celebration, these works invite viewers to consider indulgence in all its facets.

“Indulgence” invites the audience to explore what it means to enjoy without restraint. Through the lens of over 40 talented artists, we can delve into the feelings associated with giving in.
