Gallery Opening Receptions are open to all with FREE ADMISSION - light refreshments, a cash bar, and an art activity for kids in attendance will be provided.GALLERY FIVE20:Photography by Carpet Capital Camera ClubThe Carpet Capital Camera Club will celebrate its 25th anniversary with an exhibition of members' photography in Gallery FIVE20 at the Creative Arts Guild. "Our club has witnessed the transformation of photography from the early days of digital cameras to today's sophisticated imaging technology," says club coordinator Linda Hong. "This exhibition celebrates both that evolution and the creativity of our members."GALLERY ONE11:Photography by Jessica WatersThis show brings together bodies of work that don't look alike at first glance - competitive watercross racing, fine art abstracts, landscape photography - but that share the same instinct underneath. "My goal isn't to freeze a moment - it's to capture the feel of that moment as it slips away: the rough grain of old wood under your fingers, the bite of rust-pitted iron, the salt and race fuel in the air. Every photo, to me, is sensory before it's visual."There will also be an Authors' Signing in conjunction with the Carpet Capital Camera Club's gallery show opening.
