Join Cody Sprunger, Archivist for Architectural and Design Records at Ball State University, for an insightful exploration of the local built environment shaped by Herbert Smenner, a prominent 20th-century architect in Muncie.

Smenner, alongside his professional partner Charles Houck, played a key role in defining the region’s architectural character with notable designs like the Muncie Fieldhouse and the Grace Keiser Maring Library.

Through original architectural drawings, documents, and photographs from Ball State University Libraries’ Andrew Seager Archives of the Built Environment, this program brings Smenner’s creative process to life while showcasing the lasting impact of his work across East Central Indiana.

Guests are invited to see familiar places in a new light while enjoying delicious appetizers.
