Kabaret Čekání na chřipku
Über die Veranstaltung
A new original play, "Cabaret: Waiting for the Flu," written by Norbert Žid in collaboration with actor Karel Zima. This black comedy with elements of science fiction addresses pressing contemporary issues—conspiracy theories, global capitalism, genetic engineering, and artificial intelligence. The script was inspired by the books “Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind” and “Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow” by contemporary Israeli historian and anthropologist Yuval Noah Harari, as well as the essay “The Virus That Drives Us Mad: The Epidemic of Fear” by French philosopher Bernard-Henri Lévy.
“Isn’t this all just a hallucination? Am I actually in a coma and dreaming all of this?”
