Brooklyn's Kaleta, known for his impressive guitar skills, has shared the stage with legends like Fela Kuti, King Sunny Ade, and Lauryn Hill. Kaleta began his musical journey in the late 70s, performing in church before becoming a notable figure in the world music scene. He toured globally with Fela's renowned band Egypt 80, enchanting audiences through the 80s and 90s.

Now based in NYC, he leads the Super Yamba Band, which formed in 2017. Their debut album Mdaho released by Ubiquity Records, showcases their love for the raw, psychedelic sounds from Kaleta's childhood in 1970s Benin. The album's title means "big brother" and is a tribute to Kaleta's late brother who introduced him to funk and soul music.

The band’s electrifying presence has graced stages and featured in major music festivals, including a performance at the iconic Apollo Theatre in 2019! 🎤🌟 They've even caught the attention of Action Bronson on VICELAND TV!
