Kinetic Industry Intensive: The Business Of Movement

Presented by DANCA Media in partnership with New York Music Month and the NYC Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME).
The Kinetic Industry Intensive is an invite-only, institutional-grade seminar engineered for the architects of the music and entertainment industry. This session introduces the proprietary DANCA Kinetic Architecture (DKA) system—a professional methodology for measuring, valuing, and protecting movement as a structural business asset.
Led by Blacka Di Danca and Seiky Stephanie, this intensive is designed specifically for NYC-based recording artists, choreographers, creative directors, producers, managers, and music labels.
📅 The Curriculum & Event Flow
6:00 PM – 6:30 PM | Doors Open & Arrivals
• The Welcome: Guest check-in, networking buffer, and complimentary refreshments. Find your seats before the kinetic programming begins promptly at 6:30 PM.
6:30 PM – 6:40 PM | Act 1: Performance I
• The Experience: A high-energy, choreographed group performance featuring NYC’s top emerging movement talent.
• The Intent: A "Live Case Study" engineering instant dopamine and visual hooks designed for digital virality and brand recognition.
6:40 PM – 7:10 PM | Act 2: Segment 1: Deconstruction
• The Learning: The psychology of "The Stop"—identifying movement patterns that capture attention within the first 3 seconds of a social feed.
• The Strategy: Choreography as a "Budget Guard." Learn how professional movement architecture ensures high-production value for music videos and tours without inflated set costs.
• Outcome: Distribution of the Visual Identity & Kinetic Hook Worksheet.
7:10 PM – 7:20 PM | Intermission & Transition
• The Buffer: A 10-minute structural break to network, reset, visit the bar, and allow the production crew to clear the stage for the next movement block.
7:20 PM – 7:30 PM | Act 3: Performance II
• The Experience: A second, completely distinct performance style highlighting the versatility of NYC talent. This moves the room from lecture to a premium scouting opportunity using grounding, serotonin-driven movement curation.
7:30 PM – 8:00 PM | Act 4: Segment 2: IP Registration
• The Learning: A technical, executive-level breakdown of Compositional Complexity—the legal bar for copyright.
• The Revenue Play: A step-by-step roadmap for U.S. Copyright Form PA. We discuss how labels may treat movement as licensable assets for sync, gaming, and strategies to potentially generate long-term licensing value.
• Outcome: Provision of the Choreography IP Registration Checklist.
8:00 PM – 8:30 PM | Act 5: Networking Mixer
• Focus: Direct peer-to-peer connection. An open forum for labels, managers, and executives to consult with DANCA Media leads and featured performers on upcoming creative-production partnerships. Public acknowledgement of our partnership with the NYC Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME).
