Late Late Show Upstairs presented by Parthenope

Parthenope is a singer and saxophone player originally from Leeds. She pairs her jazz influence with her love of songwriting, creating uplifting, danceable music with introspective lyrics and moments of improvisation.

Collaboration is central to Parthenope’s artistry. She has performed, written and recorded with a diverse range of artists, including Tom Misch, Celeste, Gregory Porter, Mark Ronson, Matt Maltese, HONNE, Kojey Radical, Hak Baker, James Vickery and Gotts Street Park. These collaborations have helped shape a sound that is both versatile and distinctive, rooted in jazz while embracing a broad spectrum of contemporary influences.

A familiar presence on the London live scene, Parthenope first gained wider recognition through her debut release on Blue Note Re:imagined Vol. II, praised by the Financial Times for showcasing “today’s finest artists in UK jazz”. Since then, she has continued to build momentum, captivating audiences with her soulful tone, expressive musicianship, and magnetic stage presence.
