Lightning Talks 💡⚡ @Tribe Social Club

Come join us to share ideas, learn about odd topics / passions / curiosities, and meet interesting people. As always, the event is free to attend, but we appreciate RSVPs so that we can have adequate seating setup in advance of the event.

The Lightning Talks format remains the same - anyone can sign up to give a talk, and will have 5 minutes (strictly timed!) to talk about a topic of their choosing, followed by 5 minutes of open questions from the audience. The only rule is no pitching of one's business - the ethos of this event is to inspire and educate, it is not a sales opportunity. Please respect this rule.

We will have a projector as usual, for any visuals you would like to include in your talk.

We want to encourage new people who have never given a talk to try presenting. The bar is low and it's a receptive audience and a great way to wade into public speaking. We are a friendly, and encouraging crowd. We appreciate challenging questions when rooted in genuine curiosity, in an atmosphere of kindness and respect.

Planned schedule
19:30 - First round of talks
20:30 - Break
21:00 - Second round of talks
22:00 - Mingle and discuss over drinks/snacks

Please note: the event is free to attend but there is a €5 minimum spend at the bar. This spending is based on an honor system but please support the venue that supports us (otherwise we need to cover the difference from our own pockets).

About the venue
Tribe Social Club is an event space, co-work & bar in the heart of Lisbon, overlooking the beautiful Praça Luís de Camões that is focused on bringing like minded people together, for both work & play.
