The Market of the Future invites you to join a revolutionary marketplace and social experiment where we explore supportive and sustainable ways of living together.

This event brings together innovative businesses and community groups already crafting a brighter future rooted in solidarity and reciprocity.

What to Expect
🚫 NO MONEY ALLOWED!
Participants are encouraged to bring an offering to share with the community, fostering a cycle of support and exchange.

✨ There will be:

• 🍽️ Food & Drinks from Rainbow Grocery
• 👗 Clothing, Books & Other Goods from Strange Exchange
• 🔧 Repair Station hosted by local artisans
• 🎨 Activations including:
  • Mutual Bad Portrait Booth by Bad Art Club
  • Economic Soul Mapping by Aleda Johnson
  • Sardine Games by Jen Cole
• 🎶 Live Music by Mitch Rocket

What to Bring
Please bring one or two gently used, clean, and functional items that others might enjoy! Suggestions include:

• Clothing
• Art and art supplies
• Plants
• Jewelry
• Books

Parking & Transportation
Located in Civic Center in SF, The Nook is easily accessible via Muni and Bart. Limited public parking is available in local garages.

Accessibility & Considerations
The venue is situated on the second floor, accessible via stairs and elevator. Please inform us of any special accommodations you may need, and we'll be glad to assist! Access to the space is gained through a door code, which will be shared in advance.

About the Future of Us Festival

Launching to coincide with America’s 250th anniversary, the inaugural Future of Us Festival is a 10-day celebration of civic imagination! This festival features over 100 community-sourced events, exploring creative ways art, storytelling, and participatory experiences can shape our future.
