1948, PRAGUE:

Witness a society rebuilding itself after WWII as it strives to create a MONUMENTAL SYMBOL OF POWER. An artist finds themselves caught in a web that prioritizes loyalty over integrity, inspired by the poignant story of OTAKAR ŠVEC and the STALIN MONUMENT IN PRAGUE.

PRESENT-DAY LONDON:

Fast forward to today's world—amid the looming threat of another war in Europe, we meet Bogdan, a Polish builder and hopeful rapper. He tackles feelings of exploitation and isolation while working on new luxury flats, the contemporary monuments of our times. 🏢

Prepare for a captivating blend of rap, live comedy, and physical theatre! This isn't just a performance to observe, it's an interactive creation. Audience members will step into the shoes of fellow workers, constructing a shared journey that delves into the migrant experience, the essence of hard work, and the societal structures that influence us all. 🌍

Created and performed by the talented Polish-British artist MARGOT PRZYMIERSKA, this production has been developed in collaboration with The People Speak.
