Museum of the Moon at Chester Cathedral

🌕✨ The mesmerizing Museum of the Moon artwork by artist Luke Jerram is making its debut at Chester Cathedral from 12 February to 15 March 2026!

🚪 Marvel at this stunning six-metre diameter installation that features 120dpi detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface. At a scale of 1:500,000, every centimetre of this internally lit sphere represents 5km of the moon’s surface. Enjoy the fusion of lunar imagery, moonlight, and an exquisite sound composition created by award-winning composer Dan Jones.

🌍 Admission to the Cathedral during the day is free, but a suggested donation of £5 per person is appreciated to support the exhibition, the ongoing maintenance of Chester Cathedral, and to keep our doors open for everyone.
