Dream of painting beautiful landscapes under the open sky? Artskool welcomes aspiring artists of all levels to an immersive, beginner-friendly oil painting experience set in the gorgeous surroundings of Elysian Park!

🖌️ What to Expect

This 4-hour outdoor session introduces you to the classic tradition of En Plein Air — painting directly from nature. You'll set up on a provided French easel and be guided through the entire creative process, from initial sketch to color mixing and value building. A live demonstration is included, along with individual feedback tailored to your progress. Your instructor will be with you every step of the way!

By the time we wrap up, you'll walk away with a finished painting that's all your own. 🖼️

🎒 What to Bring & What's Provided

• Bring: Your own canvas (you choose the size!)
• Provided: French easels and all other supplies
• 👟 Wear comfortable shoes and clothes — hats are highly recommended!
• Please note: you'll need to be able to carry your easel to your spot (not heavy, just a bit bulky)

⚗️ Solvents: Only Gamsol (the most odorless and non-toxic option) is used. Please do not bring your own alternative paint thinners.

📍 Location

The class takes place outdoors in Elysian Park. Participants will meet in the parking area — the exact meeting point will be confirmed a few days before the event and shared after registration.

👩🏽‍🎨 About Your Instructor — Tanya

Tanya brings over 10 years of professional experience in film and advertising as an illustrator and storyboard artist. She has studied oil painting at renowned studios across Los Angeles and Florence, Italy, and is passionate about making the joy of painting accessible to everyone willing to pick up a brush.

📸 Model Etiquette

If models are present during the session, please be respectful — photos of models are not permitted without their consent. Should you wish to take a photo, kindly ask them directly, as they may charge a fee for photo requests.

📋 Registration Terms & Conditions

Cancellation & Refunds:

• Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the event are eligible for a full refund.
• Registrations are non-refundable within 48 hours of the event start.
• Approved refunds are processed the same business day and may take 7–10 business days to appear on your statement.

Photography & Filming:

• By registering, you consent to being photographed or filmed for use on Artskool's social media. If you prefer not to be filmed, please notify the organizer in advance.
