Introducing Passing Signals. A new listening event hosted by Typhoon Lady and The Burrell Connection, returning every few months with a small group of invited selectors whose music rewards slowing down and listening a little closer.

For the first gathering, we're joined by MR TC and Fergus Clark. It felt like the right way to begin. Expect music that drifts between ambient, dub, folk, jazz, field recordings, left-field electronics and the occasional dancefloor detour.

MR TC, a DJ and producer who has come to be known for his left field and psychedelic productions for labels like Optimo Music, Beats In Space, Neubau, Offen and Knekelhuis as well as his own label, Phase Group. His wide raging and genre defying DJ style has seen him booked to play in venues and festivals such as Panorama Bar, Salon Des Amateurs, Golden Pudel, Dekmantel Selectors, Nuits Sonores, Karmakoma, Concrete and Razzmatazz.

Fergus Clark is head of Scottish label 12th Isle, who have been releasing experimental electronic music scattering around ambient, dub and dance sonics from around the world since 2016. NTS Radio host since 2021 with a monthly session that finds the threads between the sounds of the label and his own ever-expanding record collection, also taking in folk, jazz, sound poetry, house and techno. Fergus is as likely to be caught playing extended sets in listening bars, ambient chill out tents or four-to-the-floor sets for ravers.
